The Effects of Amasya Circulars To the Turkish War of Independence and the Founding of Republic
Abstract
Amasya Tamimi, Milli Mücadele Tarihimizin en önemli hadiselerinden biridir. Ülke topraklarının düşman işgalinden kurtarılması ve bağımsızlığın elde edilmesi sürecinde Amasya Tamimi öncü rol oynamıştır. Aynı zamanda bir ihtilal beyannamesi niteliği taşıyan Tamim yeni bir Türk Devletinin kurulacağının sinyallerini vermektedir.Amasya Tamimi Türk Halkında demokrasi şuurunun yerleşmesine de önemli katkılar yapmıştır. İşgallere karşı yapılan ve yayınlanan kongre ve bildirilerle halk demokrasi kavramını anlamaya başlamıştır. Ardından Demokrasinin önemli unsurlarından olan seçim sonucunda Büyük Millet Meclisi açılmış ve nihayetinde de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti kurulmuştur. Amasya Tamimi'nde başlayan ?Milletin istiklalini yine milletin azim ve kararı kurtaracaktır? ilkesi TBMM ile gerçekleşmiştir.Amasya Tamimi'nde ?Milletin istiklalini yine milletin azim ve kararı kurtaracaktır? sözleriyle ifade edilen tam bağımsız Türkiye ideali, Cumhuriyet döneminde hayata geçirilen anayasaların temel ilkesi olarak kabul edildi. 1982 Anayasası'nın 6. maddesinde ?Egemenlik kayıtsız şartsız milletindir? sözleriyle günümüzde de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin temel felsefesini taşımaya devam etmektedir.
Amasya Circular Letter is one of the most important events of our National Struggle History. Amasya Circular Letter has played a pioneering role during the process of recovering country?s lands from enemy?s occupation and gaining independency. The Circular Letter, having a qualification of declaration of revolution at the same time, indicates that a new Turkish State will be established.Amasya Circular Letter has also made important contributions in establishment of democracy consciousness at Turkish People. The people have started to understand the democracy concept by the congresses carried out and the declarations published against occupations. Then at the result of election, which is one of the important elements of Democracy, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) was opened and finally the State of the Republic of Turkey was established. The principle ?Nation?s determination and decision will recover the independency of the Nation? has realized with GNAT.The ideal of fully independent Turkey, expressed in Amasya Circular Letter with the words ?Nation?s determination and decision will recover the independency of the Nation?, was accepted as essential principle of the constitutions that were put into effect in Republic period. Nowadays it also continues to bear the essential philosophy of the Republic of Turkey in the 6th article of Constitution 1982 with the words ?The authority, without any condition and reservation, belongs to the nation?.
