Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2024 yılı TÜİK verilerine dayalı tabakalı amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle 13 farklı ilçeden belirlenen 27 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. 2024-2025 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci dönemi başında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanan veriler, içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiş; demografik veriler ise frekans ve yüzde değerleri kullanılarak betimsel istatistiklerle sunulmuştur. Araştırma bulguları, öğretmenlerin ünite kapsamında soru-cevap, anlatım, tartışma, gösteri, beyin fırtınası ve örnek olay gibi yöntemleri kullandığını ortaya koyarken; bu seçimlerde sınıf mevcudu, yerleşim birimi özellikleri, öğretim programı, zaman yönetimi, iş yükü, ders içeriği, öğrenci özellikleri ile okul yönetimi ve veli tutumlarının belirleyici alt analiz birimleri olarak öne çıktığını göstermektedir.This study aims to conduct an in-depth examination of the teaching methods and techniques used by social studies teachers in the 'Where We Live' unit in Van province, as well as the factors influencing these choices, within the framework of an embedded multiple-case design. The study group consists of 27 social studies teachers from 13 different districts, selected through stratified purposeful sampling based on 2024 TÜİK population data. Data collected at the beginning of the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year using a semi structured interview form were analyzed through content analysis, while demographic data were presented using descriptive statistics with frequencies and percentages. The research findings reveal that teachers utilize various methods such as question-answer, lecture, discussion, demonstration, brainstorming, and case studies within the scope of the unit. Furthermore, the results indicate that class size, characteristics of the settlement, curriculum changes, time management, workload, course content, student characteristics, school administration, and parental attitudes emerge as decisive embedded units of analysis in these pedagogical choices.trEducation and TrainingEğitim ve ÖğretimMaster Thesis
