In the first section, a literature review is conducted on partial differential equations involving fractional-order derivatives and the finite element method. The second section provides basic definitions and theorems to be used in the implementation of the cubic B-spline method. In the third section, numerical solutions are obtained using the cubic B-spline method for diffusion and diffusion wave equations involving fractional-order derivatives. In the fourth section, numerical solutions are obtained using the cubic B-spline method for hyperbolic partial differential equations involving fractional-order derivatives.
