By examining the work in both its musical and visual dimensions, the research aims to enhance musical perception in music education through the concretization of abstract musical structures via visual design. For this purpose, the entire work including the theme, Variations I–V, and the finale, has been analyzed. In collaboration between two field experts, each section was subjected to musical analysis, and original visual designs were produced based on these analytical results. Thus, the work’s formal, rhythmic, and dynamic features were mapped onto visual design elements such as color, line, spiral forms, and cultural motifs. Although the proposed interdisciplinary model has not been tested with a practical sample group, it theoretically discusses visual design proposals related to Domeniconi’s work. Findings indicate that the visual elements developed spirals, color transitions, line orientations, Anatolian motifs, natural symbols, and Baroque ornamentations resonate with the work’s musical features (e.g., rhythmic cycles, tempo shifts, and dynamic contrasts) within a cultural context. In the discussion, these findings are evaluated in light of the literature, with particular emphasis on the pedagogical value of the model in the context of multisensory learning and learning styles. By contributing to the understanding of musical structures not only on auditory but also on visual and symbolic levels, this study gains significance as one of the limited attempts in the literature to visualize musical structures. In this respect, it is suggested that the study may offer an interdisciplinary perspective to music pedagogy. © 2025, Tolga Karaca.
