They are supposed as synovial chondromatosis wrongly. Tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis or other seronegative arthropathies may exist in the etiology. Twenty-one years old patient with complainted of occasional swelling and pain, underwent diagnostic arthroscopy. Massive rice bodies with synovitis in the joint were observed in the knee arthroscopy under local anesthesia. Afterward, open surgical extirpation with subtotal synovectomy was performed. Fibrinous structure was observed histopathologically.
