Kur'ân'ı bizzat Rasûlullah 'tan birçok vecihle alan sahabe nesli, kıraatleri en duru şekilde onları izleyen nesillere aktararak, diğer İslâmi ilimlerde olduğu gibi Kıraat ilminde de önemli bir yere sahip olmuşlardır. Çalışmamızda bu önemli nesilden biri olan, Kur'ân'a hizmetiyle Hz. Peygamber tarafından 'Seyyidü'l-Kurrâ' adını alarak övgüsüne mazhar olmuş, ismi bizzat Allah Teâlâ tarafından anılarak en güzel müjdeye nail olan, Allah'ın seçtiği muallim, seçkin kurrâ sâhabî Übey b. Ka'b tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamız iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde hayatı, ilmi kişiliği, Hz. Peygamber dönemindeki hizmetleri, Halifeler döneminde üstlendiği önemli görevler ve diğer İslâmî ilimlere olan katkıları ile ilgili bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise kıraat ilmine olan katkısı, kaynaklar ışığında ele alınarak, kıraatteki konumu, şahsî mushafı ve mushafındaki ayetlerin kıraat ilmi bağlamında değerlendirilmeleri ile kıraat tarihindeki önemi ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamız genel bir değerlendirme ile kanaatlerimizi sunarak sonuç bölümü ile tamamlanmıştır.The science of kiraat is of great importance in terms of understanding the Qur'an. The companion generation, who received many vessions from the Messenger of Allah himself, had an important place in the science of Kiraat as in other Islamic sciences by passing on the qurans to us in the most clear way.In our study, one of this important generation, Ubey b Kab, who was praised by the Prophet Muhammad as 'Seyyidul Kurrâ' for his service to the Qur'an, whose name was mentioned by Allah-u-Allah himself and who had the best gospel, was chosen by Allah as a teacher and was a distinguished companion, was introduced. Our study consists of two parts. In the first chapter, information about his life, his scientific personality, his services during the Prophet Muhammad period, his important duties during the Hulefâ-i Rashid period and his contributions to other Islamic sciences are given. In the second part of the study, his place in the kıraat science, his mushaf, the evaluation of verses of Qur'an in his mushaf in the context of kıraat and his importance in the history of kıraat science was tried to put forward by discussing his contribution to kıraat science in the light of sources. We completed our study with a general evaluation and conclusion section by presenting our opinions.trDinReligionMaster Thesis
