Artmış YKL-40 düzeyleri, zayıf prognoz ile ilişkilidir. Çalışmamızda, özefagus kanserli hastalarda YKL-40 düzeyleri belirlenmiştir.Materyal ve Metod: YKL-40 düzeyleri, 100 özefagus kanserli hastada ve 75 sağlıklı bireyde enzim bağlı immunosorbent ölçüm (ELISA) yöntemi ile belirlendi.Bulgular: Biz, özefagus kanserli hastada YKL-40 düzeylerini sağlıklı bireylere göre, yüksek bulduk (p<0.0001).Sonuç: Sonuçlarımız göstermiştir ki, serum YKL-40 düzeyleri özefagus kanserli hastalarda önemli bir role sahiptir.Background: YKL-40 is a glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, neutrophils and malignant tumor cells. Elevated serum levels of YKL-40 are associated with poor prognosis in cancer.
