Çalışmada akut gastroenterit tanısı ile hastaneye başvuran hastaların gaita örneklerinde Rotavirüs ve Enterik adenovirüsün yaş gruplarına ,cinsiyete,aylara ve yıllara göre sıklığının araştırılmasını amaçladık. Çalışmaya; SBÜ. Van Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesinde Ocak 2015- Aralık 2020 yılları arasında (Altı yıl) 0-18 yaş arası hastaneye başvuran hastalarda takip edilen akut gastroenterit tanılı hastalar dâhil edilmiştir. Rotavirüs,(RV)Enterik adenovirüs(EAV)testi İmmünokromatografik yöntemlerle çalışılan Rotavirüsve enterik adenovirüs antijenlerini tanıyan Adeno-Rota kombistripleri (RDS, Türkiye, Qlungene, Çin) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya dahil edilen hastaların kayıtları retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada takip edilen 28639 hastanın 3838'i (%13.4) rotavirüs pozitifliği, 10014 hastanın 343'ünde(%3,4) adenovirüs pozitifliği saptanmıştır. Rotavirüs antijen pozitifliği saptanan 3838 hastanın 2225'i (%13.8) erkek, 1613'ü (%12,9) kız ; Adenovirüs antijen pozitifliği saptanan 343 (%3.4) hastanın 191'i (%3.4) erkek, 152'si (%3.5) kız olarak belirlendi.Rotavirüs ve adenovirüs pozitifliği saptanan hastalarda 0-2 yaş grubu diğer yaş gruplarına göre daha yüksek bulundu (p<0.001). Cinsiyete göre incelendiğinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmamıştır. Aylara göre incelendiğinde Aralık ve Ocak aylarında rotavirüs pozitifliği, Haziran ve Ağustos aylarına adenovirüs pozitifliği diğer aylara göre yüksek bulundu. Yıllara göre incelendiğinde 2016-2019 yıllarında rotavirüs pozitifliği, 2016-2017 yıllarında ise adenovirüs pozitifliği diğer yıllar göre daha yüksek saptandı. Akut gastroenterit tanısıyla hastaneye başvuran hastalarda rotavirus ve adenoviruslerin, özellikle çocukluk çağındaki akut gastroenteritlerin önemli bir sebebi olduğu görülmüştür. Akut gastroenterit tanısyla başvuru yapan hastalarda rotavirus adenovirüs hızlı immunokromatografik testlerle araştırılması, erken tanı konulmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu şekilde gereksiz antibiyotik kullanımı önlenmiş olacaktır.Viral pathogens are the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis in developed and developing countries, mostly shown by infectious agents that differ by age groups and seasons. In this study, we aimed to investigate the frequency of Rotavirus and Enteric adenovirus in stool samples of patients admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis, according to age groups, gender, months and years. In this study, patients diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis followed in University of Health Sciences, Van Training and Research Hospital between January, 2015 and December, 2020 (six years) between 0-18 years of age were included. Rotavirus(RV), Enteric adenovirus(EAV) test Adeno-Rota combistripes (RDS, Turkey, Qlungene, China) recognizing Rotavirus and enteric adenovirus antigens studied by immunochromatographic methods were used. The records of the patients included in the study were reviewed retrospectively. Rotavirus positivity was found in 3838 (13.4%) of 28639 patients followed in the study, and adenovirus positivity was found in 343 (3.4%) of 10014 patients. Of 3838 patients with positive rotavirus antigen, 2225 (13.8%) were male, 1613 (12.9%) were female; Of 343 (3.4%) patients with adenovirus antigen positivity, 191 (3.4%) were male and 152 (3.5%) were female. The 0-2 age group was found to be higher in patients with rotavirus and adenovirus positivity compared to other age groups (p <0.001). When analyzed by gender, it was not found to be statistically significant. When analyzed by months, rotavirus positivity in December and January and adenovirus positivity in June and August were found higher than other months. When analyzed by years, rotavirus positivity in years 2016-2019 and adenovirus positivity in years 2016-2017 were found to be higher than other years. It has been observed that rotavirus and adenoviruses are important cause of acute gastroenteritis, especially in childhood, in patients admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis. Investigation of rotavirus and adenovirus with rapid immunochromatographic tests in patients presenting with the diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis enables early diagnosis.
