Buna rağmen lenf nodu metastazı varlığını tespit edebilecek spesifik biomarkerler bulanamamıştır. Bu çalışmada, özofagus kanserinde VEGFR-3' ün rolünü değerlendirmek amacıyla özofagus kanserli hastalarda serum VEGFR-3 düzeyleri ölçülmüştür.Gereç ve Yöntem: Özofagus kanserli 95 hasta çalışıldı. Tedavi öncesi ve ameliyat öncesi numuneler alındı ve saklandı. VEGFR-3 konsantrasyonunu belirlemek için ELİSA yöntemi kullanıldıBulgular: Özofagus kanserli hastalarda serum VEGFR-3 değerleri diğer sağlıklı donörlere göre belirgin bir şekilde yüksek tespit edildi. ( p < 0.0001 )Tartışma: Özofagus kanserli hastalarda VEGFR-3 düzeyinin lenfanjiyogenetik ve anjiyogenetik marker olarak kullanılabileceğini düşünüyoruz. İleride yapılacak çalışmalar, VEGFR-3 klinik değerinin tümör anjiyogenezinde, lenfanjiiyogenetik markerler ve tümor markerlerı gibi belirlenmesini sağlayabilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: VEGFR-3; Özofagus Kanseri; Lenfanjiyogenez; AnjiyogenezAim: Lymph node metastasis is a caused of malignant cancers and is occurred more generally in esophageal cancer than in other digestive cancers. However, no biomarkers able to support the clinical detection lymph node metastasis have been reported. In this study, we measured the serum VEGFR-3 expression in patients with esophageal carcinoma to evaluate the role of VEGFR-3 esophageal carcinoma.Materials and Methods: Ninety five patients with esophageal carcinoma were studied. Pretherapy and preoperative samples were stored and ELISA was used to designate the concentrations of VEGFR-3.Results: The serum values of VEGFR-3 were significantly higher in patients with esophageal carcinoma than in healthy donors (p<0.0001).Conclusions: We suggest that VEGFR-3 levels in esophageal carcinoma could play a role as a lymphangiogenic and angiogenic marker of malignant esophageal carcinoma.
