Araştırma, nitel araştırma özelliği taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu belirlenirken maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda Tuşba Belediyesi'nin düzenlediği eğitim ve kültür faaliyetleri kapsamında Futbol Kursu, İngilizce Kursu, Diksiyon Kursu, işaret Dili Kursu, Halı ve Kilim Kursu ve Osmanlıca alanlarında kurs alan dokuz kişi ile çalışma gerçekleştirilerek kursiyerlere önceden belirlenmiş sorular yöneltilmiş ve verilen cevaplar kayıt altına alınmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre Tuşba'da eğitime destek bağlamında yapılan birçok faaliyet içinde özellikle üç yıldır geleneksel olarak devam eden 'Tuşba‟da Fikirler Konuşuyor' isimli proje bulunmaktadır. Belediyenin sunduğu Resim ve Yağlı Boya Kursu, Ney Kursu, Bağlama Kursu, Kara Kalem Kursu, Gitar Kursu, Sanatsal Kurslar; Futbol, Hentbol, Basketbol, Voleybol, Masa Tenisi, Satranç, Yüzme etkinlikleri, sportif faaliyetler arasındadır. Kursiyerlerin faaliyetlere katılımlarındaki ana gerekçeleri kişisel gelişim ve topluma fayda sağlamaktır. Katılımcıların genel anlamda belediyenin sunduğu hizmetlerden memnun oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Mevcut hizmetlerin geliştirilerek halkın daha fazla istifade etmesi önerilmektedir.The purpose of this study is to examine the educational and cultural services of municipalities and to determine whether these services meet the expectations of the public. The research has qualitative research feature. When determining the study group of the research, maximum diversity sampling was used. In this context, within the scope of the educational and cultural activities organized by Tusba Municipality, studies were conducted with nine people who took courses in the fields of Football Course, English Course, Diction Course, Sign Language Course, Carpet and Rug Course and Ottoman Turkish, and pre determined questions were asked to the trainees and the answers given were recorded. According to the results of the research, there is a project called 'Talking Ideas in Tusba', which has been traditionally carried out for three years, among many activities carried out in the context of supporting education in Tusba. Painting and Oil Painting Course, Ney Course, Baglama Course, Black Pencil Course, Guitar Course, Artistic Courses; Football, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Chess, Swimming activities are among the sports activities. The main reasons for the participation of the trainees in the activities are to benefit the personal development and society. It was determined that the participants were generally satisfied with the services provided by the municipality.
