Çalışmada Ateş dikeni (P. coccinea) meyvesinin 0.5 mg /ml konsantrasyonunda antioksidan içerikleri (Katalaz (CAT), Malondialdehit (MDA), Redükte glutatyon (GSH), Flavonoid ve DPPH Radikalini Söndürme Aktivitesi) hesaplandı. Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar sırası ile Katalaz (CAT) aktivitesi 0,082 U/L, MDA düzeyi 1.461 μmol/L, Redükte glutatyon derişimi 0,007 mmol / glutatyon (mg/dl), Flavonoid miktarı 51,266 ± 0,8997 μg/ml quersetin eşdeğeri olarak hesaplandı. Ayrıca, DPPH radikal söndürme aktivitesi seyreltilerek hazırlanan konsantrasyonlardan en yükseği olan 1000 μg/ml'de % 86,92 oranında ölçüm sağlandı.
