These patients have minor symptoms or totally symptom-free. They are generally diagnosed accidentally. There are case report of bifid (forked) ribs in the literature. Bifid rib should be differenciated from other pathological situation of lung and chest wall including malignancies. 3-dimensional(3-D) computed tomography (CT) is a very effective diagnostic tool in differencial diagnosis of bifid rib.
