Because of the life-threatening situation, we decided to start pulse dose methylprednisolone and also hemodialysis with a femoral catheter placement was performed. Fifteen days after initiating of dialysis subfebrile fever was developed, followed within 2 days with a left hemiparesis. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed multiple intracerebral abscesses.
