Modern değerler Eğitiminin fikri altyapısı ilgili düşünürlerin görüşlerine ve siyasi ortama bağlı olmaktadır. Bu bağlamdaki düşünürlerin görüşleri ile siyasi ortamı bilmek önem arz etmektedir. İslami değerlerin fikri alt-yapısı, vahye ve Hz Muhammed'e dayanmaktadır. Her iki eğitim sisteminin değer kaynaklarına ve fikri alt yapılarına bağlı, iki eğitim sistemi arasındaki temel farklar ve bu farkların sonuçları ile benzer yönleri ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu durumun ortaya konulması, İslami değerler eğitimi ve din eğitimi bilim dalı için önem arz ettiğinden konumuz gereği çalışmamızda İslami değerler eğitimi ile Batı değerler eğitiminin üze-rinde durulmaktadır.
