Marwan demanded from al-Hasan al-Basri to report his views related with predestination which were unprecedented in content in a written text. Upon this urge, al-Hasan al-Basri write an epistle containing this views on predestination and sent it to the Caliph. This epistle which al-Hasan sent Amavi's Caliph Abd al-Malik on predestination was evaluated the first written text on Qadar in the Islamic world.
