İnsan beyni ve bilgisayar arasındaki benzerliğe dayalı olarak ortaya çıkan yapay zekâ kavramı ortaya çıktığından bu yana birçok felsefi tartışmaya neden olmuştur. İnsan zekâsının bir makineye yüklenip yüklenemeyeceği sorunu üzerine bir inceleme yapacağımız bu çalışmada, öncelikle yapay zekâya ilişkin felsefi yaklaşımlara yer verilecek ve doğal zekânın esnekliğinden hareketle bir bilgisayarın insan zekâsına tam anlamıyla sahip olamayacağına ilişkin akıl yürütmeler ortaya konulacaktır. Algoritmaya dayalı bir yapısı olan yapay zekâya ilişkin Güçlü yapay zekâ ve zayıf yapay zekâ görüşleri ön plana çıkmıştır. Bilgisayar için yazılım ne ise beyin için de zihin odur diyen Güçlü yapay zekâ yaklaşımı, insan zekâsına sahip makinelerin olanaklı olduğunu kabul ederken; Zayıf yapay zekâ yaklaşımı ise, beyin ve bilgisayar arasındaki ilişkinin taklitten öteye gidemeyeceğini iddia eder. Yapay zekâ tartışması, zihin ve dil ilişkisinin incelenmesini zorunlu kılar. Bu nedenle, dil ve düşünce konusunda dilin doğası ve düşüncenin dil üzerindeki öneminde bahsedilmiştir. Dil ile düşünce arasındaki ilişkinin doğasına yönelik felsefi görüşlere yer verilen bu çalışmada, doğal dil ve programlama dillerinin bir karşılaştırılması yapılmaktadır.Yine bir yapay zekânın tasarlanabilmesi için bir programlama diline ihtiyaç duyulmasından hareketle, programlama dilinin sabit yapısına karşın doğal zekânın esnekliği söz konusudur. İnsan beyninin sahip olduğu nöroplastisite ve nörogenez gibi özellikleri sayesinde doğal zekânın esnekliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. İnsan beyni on binlerce yıldır evirilerek belli bir düşünme ve yorumlama yapısına sahip olmuştur. Öte yandan yapay zekâ her ne kadar geliştirilip her geçen gün başarılı sonuçlara imza atsa da bir takım sınırlarının dışına henüz çıkamamıştır.The aim of this thesis is to examine the mind-language relationship in the context of artificial intelligence. The concept of artificial intelligence, which emerged based on the similarity between the human brain and the computer, has caused many philosophical discussions since its emergence. In this study, in which it will be examined the problem of whether human intelligence can be loaded on a machine, first of all, philosophical accounts to artificial intelligence will be included, and from the plasticity of the human brain, the argument that a computer cannot fully possess human intelligence will be presented. Regarding artificial intelligence, which has an algorithm-based structure, strong artificial intelligence and weak artificial intelligence approaches came to the fore. While strong artificial intelligence approach, which suggests that the mind is to the brain what the software is to the computer, accepts that machines with human intelligence are possible,the weak artificial intelligence approach, on the other hand, claims that the relationship between the brain and the computer cannot go beyond imitation. The discussion of artificial intelligence necessitates the examination of the mind and language relationship.For this reason, the nature of language and the standing of thought on language have been mentioned about language and thought.In this study, including philosophical views on the nature of the relationship between language and thought, a comparison of natural language and programming languages is made.Again, considering the need for a programming language to design an artificial intelligence, the elasticity of natural intelligence is in question despite the fixed structure of the programming language. Due to the features of the human brain such as neuroplasticity and neurogenesis, the plasticity of natural intelligence emerges. The human brain has evolved for tens of thousands of years and has a certain structure of thinking and interpretation.
