Bu araştırmanın evrenini Van ili ve ilçelerinde görev yapan sosyal bilgiler giren öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini de İpekyolu İlçe Milli Eğitim, Tuşba İlçe Milli Eğitim, Edremit İlçe Milli Eğitim, Gevaş İlçe Milli Eğitim ve Erciş İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerine bağlı ortaokullarda görev yapan sosyal bilgiler ve sosyal bilgiler dersine giren sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya gönüllü olarak 192 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel verilerin toplanmasında Dijital Oyunlardan Yararlanma Ölçeği'nden (DOYÖ), nitel verilerin toplanmasında da yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verileri içerik analiz yöntemiyle, nicel verileri de SPSS 21.0 paket programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Nicel verilerin analizi için aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, bağımsız örneklemler t testi ve tek yönlü varyans (OneWayAnova) testleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ve DOYÖ kullanılarak elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğretmenlerin genel olarak sosyal bilgiler derslerindeki konu ve kazanımları dijital oyunlar aracılığıyla öğretme konusunda olumlu görüşlere sahip olduğu ama bu konuyla ilgili deneyimlerinin olmadığı; DOYÖ'nun alt boyutları (derste dijital oyunlardan yararlanma ile ilgili tutumlar, dijital oyunların olumsuz yönlerine yönelik tutumlar, dijital oyunların olumlu yönlerine yönelik tutumlar, dijital oyunların sınıfta öğrenmeye ve öğrencilere etkisine yönelik tutumlar) ile öğretmen yaş grupları, mesleki kıdem, öğrenim durumu ve cinsiyet gibi değişkenler açısından anlamlı bir farkın olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes and views of teachers towards using digital games in social studies course. The universe of this research consists of social studies teachers working in the province of Van and its districts. The sample of the study is composed of social studies teachers and primary school teachers who attend social studies course in secondary schools affiliated to İpekyolu District National Education, Tusba District National Education, Edremit District National Education, Gevaş District National Education and Erciş District National Education Directorates.192 teachers participated in the study as voluntarily. In the study, the Digital Games Utilization Scale (DOYÖ) was used to collect quantitative data, and the structured interview form was used for collecting qualitative data.The qualitative data of the study were analyzed using the content analysis method, and the quantitative data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 package program. For the analysis of quantitative data, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent sample t test and one-way variance (One Way Anova) tests were performed.
