Article Guide for Quality Control and Quality Assurance Tests in Ct-Sim Devices(Istanbul Tip Fakultesi, 2024) Özseven, A.; Çobanbaş, İ.; Akyol, O.; Çağlan, A.; Önal, E.; Özsoykal, İ.; Yalçin, A.Quality control and assurance tests (QC/QA) play a crucial role in evaluating the functionality and reliability of diagnostic and treatment systems. These tests are systematically performed at designated intervals, providing both qualitative and quantitative data that inform users about the operational status and performance reliability of the systems. Manufacturers of these diagnostic and treatment devices offer guidance to end users on how to assess and ensure the safe and accurate operation of their equipment. This guidance often includes specific protocols and checklists to follow during the quality control process. In addition, prominent international scientific organizations issue detailed reports that specify best practices for both the frequency and methodology of conducting QC/QA tests. In alignment with these international stan-dards, the present study has been conducted to create a comprehensive national report aimed at support-ing medical physicist within the country. This report will provide detailed insights and recommendations regarding the frequency and procedures for conducting quality control and assurance tests specifically for computed tomography systems (BT-Sim) employed in simulation process. The goal is to establish a clear framework that will enhance the consistency and reliability of these systems, ultimately benefiting both healthcare providers and patients by ensuring optimal diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes. © 2024, Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology.
