    (2005) Aydin, M.; Kisli, E.; Ozgoren, E.; Soylemez, O.; Baser, M.; Aslaner, A.
We report a case of mediastinal and bilateral retro-orbital emphysema following an uncomplicated endoscopic sphincterotomy. The concurrent presence of these complications following endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is rare. The simultaneous occurrence of these two complications in the same patient has not been previously reported in the literature. Furthermore, we define the first case of mediastinal and bilateral retro-orbital emphysema following endoscopic sphincterotomy.

    (2005) Aydin, M.; Baser, M.; Kösem, M.; Aslaner, A.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a connective tissue disorder that has rarely been seen with acute surgical manifestations. We report a case having multiple intestinal perforations on exploration and has undergone primary repair. SLE should be taken into account as a diagnosis of choice in patients with bowel perforation.
