Article Chemical Effects on K-beta/K-beta X-Ray Ratios in Coordination-Compounds of Some 3d Elements(Iop Publishing Ltd, 1993) KUCUKONDER, A; Şahin, Y; Büyükkasap, E; Kopya, AThe effects of changes in coordination number on Kbeta/Kalpha x-ray intensity ratio have been studied experimentally. The Kbeta/Kalpha x-ray intensity ratios for both pure Cr, Mn and Cu and their various chemical compounds with tetrahedral and octahedral symmetry are investigated using a Ge(Li) detector. The measured results indicate that the Kbeta/Kalpha ratios for compounds with tetrahedral symmetry are in general larger than those with octahedral symmetry. The obtained Kbeta/Kalpha x-ray intensity ratios are comparable with both previous published experimental and theoretical results.Article The Effect of The Chemical Environment on The K-beta/K-alpha X-Ray Ratio(Editrice Compositori Bologna, 1993) KUCUKONDER, A; Şahin, Y; Büyükkasap, EChemical effects on the Kbeta/Kalpha X-ray intensity ratios were investigated for different constitutions of Ti, V, Fe, Se, Br, Zr and Ce by a Ge(Li) X-ray detector. The vacancies were produced by heavily filtered Am-241 gamma-rays. It is found that the Kbeta/Kalpha X-ray intensity ratios measured with compounds deviated up to 12% from the corresponding values of the pure elements (Ti, V, Fe) are larger than for the others (Se, Br, Zr and Ce).Article K-Beta Intensity Ratios Following Radioactive Decay and Photoionization(Akademiai Kiado, 1994) BUYUKKASAP, E; KUCUKONDER, A; SAHIN, Y; ERDOGAN, HKbeta/Kalpha intensity ratios for Cr, Mn, Fe, Cs and Ba have been measured following radioactive decay and photon excitation. A Ge(Li) detector coupled to an ND66B analyzer was used in the measurements. The Kbeta/Kalpha intensity ratio is affected by the mode of excitation. This effect has a significant influence on Kbeta/Kalpha intensity ratios of 3d shell elements (Cr, Mn, Fe). However, the effect was found smaller for Cs and Ba.
