Article Analysis of Covid-19 Pandemic Data According To the Countries Including in the Human Development Index by Using Clustering Analysis K-Average Method(int Journal Contemporary Economics & Administrative Sciences, 2021) Kanberoglu, Zafer; Gorur, Cetin; Yildirimcakar, Ibrahim; Turkmenoglu, MustafaOne of the important disasters of the 21st century is the Covid-19 pandemic that started in China in December 2019 and spread all over the world in a short time. The Covid-19 pandemic, which started as a health problem, continues to deeply affect all structures of the countries with its economic and social dimensions. Although there is a parallelism between the development level of the country and its success in combating the pandemic, differentiation is observed from time to time. Within the scope of this study, Covid-19 pandemic data will be obtained by country and will be analyzed using the Cluster analysis K-Average Method. The sample of the study will be forty countries in total, including ten countries in eachcategory, in different developmentcategories in the United Nations human development index. In the first stage of the cluster analysis to be used in the study, the variables of total cases, daily cases, total deaths and daily deaths belonging to countries; In these cond phase, total cases per million, daily cases per million, total deaths per million and deaths per million will be used. It will be analyzed whether the variables used in the said stages make a meaningful clustering. Açlığın azaltılması, nitelikli eğitim, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği, temiz su ve sıhhi koşullar, insana yakışır iş ve ekonomik büyüme, sanayi- yenilikçilik ve altyapı, eşitsizliklerin azaltılması, sorumlu tüketim ve üretim, sudaki yaşam, karasal yaşam, barış ve adalet, yoksulluğun azaltılması, erişilebilir temiz enerji, sürdürülebilir şehir ve yaşam alanları ile sağlıklı bireyler sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın temel hedeflerinden bazılarıdır. Bu hedeflere ulaşmada sağlık önemli göstergelerden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Sağlık insanoğlunun temel ihtiyaçlarından biridir. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından yapılan tanıma göre sağlık; bireylerin fiziki, ruhsal ve sosyal yönden tam iyilik halleri olarak ifade edilmektedir. Doğaldır ki bu tam iyilik hali yaşanılan ekonomik kalkınma ve onun etkilediği çevre ile yakından ilişkilidir. Sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın hedeflerini değerlendirmede kullanılacak sağlık göstergeleri arasında beslenme durumu, ölüm oranı, hijyen koşulları, içme suyu, sağlık hizmetler gibi değişkenler yer almaktadır. Bütün bu değişkenlerin değerlendirilmesi , sağlık adına yapılan çalışmalarında daha verimli olması için ekonomi biliminin alt dalı olarak sağlık ekonomisinin payı artmıştır. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında ''Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Sağlık Ekonomisi İlişkisinin Van İlinde ki Analizi'' ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmada Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma tanım ve kapsamı ile Sağlık Ekonomisi tanım ve kapsamı ve gelişimi ele alınmıştır. Van ilinde yaşayan vatandaşlara uygulanan anket çalışması ile Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Sağlık Ekonomisi İlişkisinin Van İlinde ki Analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma ve Sağlık Ekonomisi arasında olumlu bir ilişki olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. One of the most important instruments for eliminating developmental differences is the energy resources. Energy resources are divided into two parts: renewable and non-renewable. The risk of extinction in resources like non-renewable energy sources such as oil and natural gas has led economic structures to concentrate on the renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy. In this context, renewable energy sources have become important factors both in macro and regional development. In this study, the role of renewable energy resources in regional development has been analyzed in the case of Eastern Anatolia Region. The empirical findings of the study show that both Turkey and the Eastern Anatolia Region have significant potential in terms of renewable energy resources, but these resources are not sufficiently utilized from.Article Convergence Analysis of Foreign Direct Investment Performances of Countries in Terms of Development Stages(Bilgesel Yayincilik San & Tic Ltd, 2014) Ceylan, Resat; Mollavelioglu, M. Sukru; Kanberoglu, ZaferIn this study, the countries / economies, according to the classification in terms of stages of development, the convergence behavior of foreign direct investment performance is analyzed. This study grounds on the Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013 for classifying the development stages of countries/economies. In the aforementioned report, countries/economies are divided into three main groups according to their development stages. These groups are "factor-driven economies", "efficiency-driven economies" and "innovation-driven economies". Moreover, this number has climbed to five after adding two more groups including the economies between the first stage and the second stage and the economies between the second stage and the third stage. This analysis estimates the foreign direct investment performances of the countries in this classification and examines intra-group and inter-group convergence relations for the period of 1970-2012 by means of Asymmetric Exponential Smooth Transition Auto-Regressive (AESTAR) unit root test. Health is considered one of the important indicators in achieving these goals. Health is one of the basic needs of humankind. According to the definition made by the World Health Organization health; is expressed as the state of full well-being of the individuals in physical, spiritual and social aspects. It is natural that this state of full well-being is closely related to economic development and the environment it affects. In evaluating the goals of sustainable development; health indicators which are used include variables such as nutrition status, mortality, hygiene conditions, drinking water, and health services. Relationship between sustainable development and health will be examined within Turkey examples study.Article The Role of Selected Tax Types on Foreign Direct Investment: The Case of Oecd Countries(Maliye Bakanligi, 2021) Yildirimcakar, Ibrahim; Gorur, Cetin; Kanberoglu, ZaferIn this study, the interaction between foreign direct investment and tax on international trade, tax on income, profits and capital gains and tariff rate is based on annual data from 36 OECD countries covering the years 1995-2019 were examined by Westerlund (2007) panel cointegration test. What makes the study different from previous studies is that it tries to determine the effect of different tax types on foreign direct investment. According to econometric findings, there is a long-term negative relationship between foreign direct investment and tax on international trade, tax on income, profits and capital gains and tariff rate.
