Conference Object Analyzing and Comparing of Variable and Constant Switching Frequency Flyback Dc-Dc Converter(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2019) Taneri, M.C.; Genc, N.; Mamizadeh, A.Flyback converter, one of the switching power supply circuit with high frequency, is widely used in low power applications due to its cost effectiveness and electrical isolation characteristics. It is known that high frequency causes switching losses and reduces the efficiency of converters especially at low power ratings. Therefore, a flyback DC-DC converter operated with variable switching frequency is studied in this study. The proposed topology is operated with lower frequencies at light load conditions compared to rated output power. The results obtained from the variable switching converter are compared with the results obtained from constant switching frequency flyback topology for the same input/output conditions. It is observed that the flyback converter operated with variable switching frequency is more efficient than the flyback converter operated with constant frequency. © 2019 IEEE.Article Effect of Feed Forward on Pfc Based of Single-Phase Uninterruptible Power Supply(International Organization on 'Technical and Physical Problems of Engineering', 2020) Mamizadeh, A.; Genc, N.; Hama, S.O.An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is used to prevent interruption by providing energy to the load for a certain period of time despite grid interruptions. The main points to consider when designing any UPS system are the input power factor ratio and distortion harmonics. For this reason, UPSs are generally designed with power factor corrected (PFC) circuits. PFC based UPSs eliminate harmonics originating from the load and enable them to draw currents with high power factor ratio from the grid. PFC controllers with feed forward content are used to reduce the effect of input voltage dynamics in active PFC circuits. In this study, the effects of the feed forward PFC circuit on UPS were investigated. In the proposed study, Matlab/Simulink program was used, and the results obtained from here were evaluated. © 2020, International Organization on 'Technical and Physical Problems of Engineering'. The fast and easy generation of switching signals for multilevel inverters (MLI) which has complex switching schemes is an important issue. In addition, because of parallel processing, the use of FPGAs in the field of power electronics has increased. MATLAB-Simulink software and Xilinx System Generator (XSG) are used to analyze CHB-MLI and generate architecture of PWM signals which embedded in FPGA. After implementation on Digilent Genesys II FPGA board, the experimental gate signals waveforms are observed on a digital oscilloscope. © 2019 IEEE.Conference Object Optimal Tuning of Pi Controller for Boost Dc-Dc Converters Based on Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2018) Mamizadeh, A.; Genc, N.; Rajabioun, R.Applications of the boost DC-DC converters are becoming popular due to their conformity to renewable energy systems. PI controllers are the most used controllers in power electronic circuit and systems controlling. This paper presents the optimal tuning of Proportional-Integral (P-I) controller for DC- DC boost converters based on Cuckoo optimization Algorithm (COA). The COA based optimization of boost converter is modeled and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment under variable load. Then the simulation results of the COA based tuned PI controller are compared to the classical PI tuning method. The performance of proposed COA based tuning PI was better than conventional PI tuning method. © 2018 IEEE.
