Article Antioxidant Vitamin and Mineral Levels in Sheep With Fluorosis(Humana Press inc, 2008) Yasar, S.; Yur, F.The present study was carried out to determine the levels and changes of vitamins A, C, and E, fluoride, and calcium in 30 Morkaraman sheep with fluorosis, comparing them to unexposed healthy controls. The sheep exposed to fluoride showed significant differences in urinary fluoride and the blood levels of beta-carotene and vitamins A and C (p<0.001) as proof of the impact that fluorosis have in the overall health of the animals.Article Chemical Investigations on Honey Produced in Bingol and Surroundings(Bursa Uludag University, 2020) Ates, Y.; Yasar, S.Bingol and the surrounding vicinity with its climatic conditions and rich flora is a convenient area for beekeeping. In this region, beekeeping activities are increasing day by day. In this study, by analyzing saccharose, invert sugar, pH, moisture and diastase enzyme activity, it is aimed to determine the conformity of the flower honey with standards that are produced in Bingol and its surrounding area. For this purpose, 7 honey samples were collected from seven distinct areas of Bingol and its surrounding (Bingol-Central, Kigi, Solhan, Karliova, Yayladere, Genc, Adakli) and analyzed. The average contents of sucrose, invert sugar, pH, moisture and amylase enzyme activity in honey samples were determined to be 1.65%, 80.23%, 2.81, 15.43% and 0.074 units mL-1, respectively. When the biochemical analysis average of all the regions was taken into consideration, the honey was found to comply with the Turkish Food Codex, and TS 3036 criteria in terms of the examined parameters. In order to develop the beekeeping industry and high quality honey production in this region, educational activities and financial support-with various projects-should be increased. The next step is to announce the findings obtained here about Bingol honey to the whole country and even abroad, with adequate advertising activities. © 2019 Croatian Conservation Institute. Vibrational frequency analysis confirms that apart from C15Al5, all studied species are true minima. Considering the optimized geometries shows that all heterofullerenes are isolated-pentagon cage and none collapse to open deformed as segregated structure. The highest binding energy (5.56 eV/atom) and absolute heat of atomization (3323.68 kcal mol−1) reveals open-shell C19Al1 as the most stable thermodynamic heterofullerene. The most NICS (0) (isotropic and anisotropic parameters, −49.58 and − 46.47 ppm, respectively) introduces closed-shell C18Al2-2 as the most aromatic structure. Also, closed-shell C16Al4-1 heterofullerene emerges with the most polarizability (307.71 a.u.) and hence activity to interact with the surrounding polar species. The lowest and the highest charge transfer on the surfaces of C20 and C16Al4-2 without weak Al—Al bond, as the worst and the best candidate, respectively, provokes further investigation on impossible and possible application for hydrogen storage, respectively. We wish that the present survey will stimulate new experiments.
