The Near History in Attila İlhan's Novel
Abstract
Attila İlhan, tarihi romanın Türk edebiyatındaki önemli yazarlarındandır. İlhan'ın toplam on iki romanının onu tarihi roman özelliği taşır. İlhan, romanlarında II. Meşrutiyet öncesinde Balkanlardaki karışıklıklardan başlayarak, II. Meşrutiyet'in ilanından sonraki gelişmeleri, I. Dünya Savaşı'nı, Mütareke yıllarını, Milli Mücadeleyi, Milli Şef dönemini, Demokrat Parti dönemini, 27 Mayıs Darbesini ve 12 Mart Muhtırasını romanlarına konu eder. İlhan, romanlarında ele aldığı bu dönemleri, toplumun çeşitli kesimlerinden seçtiği kahramanların bakışıyla verir. İlhan, romanlarında ele aldığı bu dönemleri oldukça detaylı bir şekilde irdeler, olayların siyasi, sosyal ve ekonomik arka planını yansıtmaya çalışır.Bu çalışmamız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Attila İlhan'ın romanlarında geçen tarihi olayları, ikinci bölümde tarihi kişileri, üçüncü bölümde ise tarihi mekanları ele aldık.Anahtar sözcükler: Attila İlhan, Attila İlhan'ın Romanları, tarihi roman, yakın tarih.
Attila İlhan is one of important author of historical novel in Turkish literature. His ten of twelve novels bare features of historical novels. Ilhan?s novels are based on developments after the Second Constitutional Monarchy, chaos in the Balkans, World War I, Armistice years, National Struggle, National Chef period, Democratic Party period, Military coup of 27 May, and 12 Marc memorandum. He gives the periods that he used in his novels from point of view of characters that he elected from different social classes. He explicates the periods that he elected in detail, tries to reflect the political, social and financial backgrounds of events.Our study includes three sections. In the first section, we analyze historical events that pass in Atilla İlhan?s novels. This section enclose our nearby past from 1908 to 1970. We analyze historical people that pass in İlhan?s novels in the second section and analyze historical places in the third section.Key words: Attila İlhan, novels by Attila İlhan, novel, historical novel, nearby past.
