Elements of Harmony in the Mezâkî's Divan
Abstract
Praising his mastery in the field of rhetoric by challenging each time, Mezâkî is one of the exceptional poets who, with his style of utterance, have influenced both his contemporaries and poetswho were brought up after him and left the mark of his artistic personalityon his work. Emphasizing his ability to speak fluently, melosiously and in a unique way, Mezâkî draws attention with his harmonious style. Harmony, which is an aesthetic element of poetry, stands out as an important issue in Mezâki^'s style. This musical element, which adds impreeiveness to the poem, makes its presence felt strongly in Mezâki's poems. In the Mezâkî Divan , harmony was provided with rhytmic elements such as rhyme, rhyme and redif, as well as voice and word repetitions. Provided with strong musical elements this musicality is largely composed of voice and lyric repetitions. The harmony provided by these elements based on sound and word repetitions such as word and word group repetitions, line repetitions, additional repetitions, parallelism, alliteration and asonance shows the characteristic of being a harmony in which the sound and the meaning element form a integrity, not a dry harmony abstracted from the meaning. In this study we contucted on Mezâkî Divan, the elements that are the means of harmony have been examined. The elements determined in the court were examined in tree parts. In the first part, harmony achieved with word repetitions, in the second part harmony with sound repetitions and in the third part, under the heading rhythm, rhyme, rhyme and redif were examined. Using the sound and meaning elements, which are the two important elements of poetry, together successfully, Mezâkî wrote her poems with the perfection of a utterance. Key Words: Mezâkî's Divan, Harmony, Repetitions, Rhythm, Sound and Meaning
