Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities of New Pyrazolo[3,4-D]pyridazin Derivatives
(Elsevier France-editions Scientifiques Medicales Elsevier, 2005) Akbas, E; Berber, I
Several new pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyridazin derivatives were prepared by the reaction of two new 1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acids and various hydrazines. The compounds were tested for antimicrobial activities against Gram-negative, Gram-positive bacteria and fungi. The compounds named as 7e, f had the highest antimicrobial activities against Gram-negative, Gram-positive bacteria and fungi with minimum inhibitory concentrations in the range of 0.31 to < 0.0024 mg ml(-1). Syntheses of Some New 1h-Pyrazole, Pyridazin-3(2h) and Oxazin-4 Derivatives
    (Wiley-hindawi, 2006) Akbas, E; Aslanoglu, F
The new 1H-pyrazole-3-carboylic acid 2, pyridazin-3(2H)-one 3, and their various derivatives were prepared by the reactions of the 4-benzoyl-5-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-2,3-furandione 1 and 2,5-dichlorophenylhydrazine. Pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyridazine 7 was obtained from cyclization of the pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid 2 with,5-dichlorophenylhydrazine. The reaction of 1 and pyrazole-3-carbonitriles 6 gave the new oxazin-4-one 9 derivatives. The structures of compounds were characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, mass, IR, H-1, and C-13 NMR spectra. (c) 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Synthesis and Some Reactions of 4-Benzoyl Acid
(Tubitak Scientific & Technological Research Council Turkey, 2004) Sener, A; Akbas, E; Sener, MK
The 1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid 2, obtained from the furandione 1 and 2-hydrazinopyridine, was decarboxylated to give 4-benzoyl-5-phenyl-1-pyridin-2-yl-pyrazole derivative 3. Some ester 4 derivatives of 2 were prepared by the Fischer esterification reactions of 2 with various alcohols. Cyclocondensation reactions of 2 with phenyl hydrazine or hydrazine hydrate led to the formation of derivatives of pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyridazine 5 derivatives.

Synthesis, Antibacterial and Antifungal Activity of Some New Pyridazinone Metal Complexes
    (Elsevier France-editions Scientifiques Medicales Elsevier, 2006) Sönmez, M; Berber, I; Akbas, E
The new various metal complexes of 5-benzoyl-4-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-2H-pyridazin-3-one were synthesized. All the complexes were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and fungi using microdilution procedure. The Cd(II) and Ni(II) complexes exhibited selective and effective activities against one Gram-positive bacterium (Staplylococcus aureus ATCC 6538), one Gram-negative bacterium (Pseudonionas putida ATCC 12633) and against two yeast (Candida albicans ATCC 27541 and Candida tropicalis 1828) in contrast to poor activity observed other microorganisms. The new synthesized complexes were characterized using IR, H-1-NMR and UV spectral data together with elemental analysis. (c) 2005 Elsevier SAS. All rights reserved.
