    Opinions of Primary School Manager, Teacher and Representatives Concerning of the Education of Democracy and School Council Project

    The purpose of this study was to reveal the views of administrators and teachers working at primary schools and the school representatives of primary schools about the implementation, method, goals, and development of the Democracy Education and School Councils Project. The universe of the study consisted of 75 primary schools located in the city center of Van. As those schools located in Van were divided into 5 educational regions, 3 schools were selected from each region randomly. Thus, a sample of 45 people was formed through 15 schools. Each one of those who made up the sample was asked seven questions, and relevant answers were recorded. The data obtained through interviews were analyzed via SPSS 15.0 - a statistical package. Research findings demonstrated that administrators, teachers, and students had positive views concerning the goals of the Democracy Education and School Councils Project, but students failed to fulfill some of their promises, a fund should be provided for the project to be implemented more effectively, and the active participation of students in all kinds of decision-making processes at schools should be ensured for achieving.
