Article Differential Equations With State-Dependent Piecewise Constant Argument(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2010) Akhmet, M. U.; Buyukadali, C.A new class of differential equations with state-dependent piecewise constant argument is introduced. It is an extension of systems with piecewise constant argument. Fundamental theoretical results for the equations the existence and uniqueness of solutions, the existence of periodic solutions, and the stability of the zero solution are obtained. We consider the critical case, when associated linear homogeneous system admits nontrivial periodic solutions. Criteria of existence of periodic solutions of such equations are obtained. One of the main auxiliary results of our paper is an analogue of Gronwall-Bellman Lemma for functions with piecewise constant and retarded-advanced type arguments. Dependence of solutions on the parameter is investigated. Appropriate examples are given to show our results. (c) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
