    The Use of Superficial "ankaferd Blood Stopper©" in a Patient With Disseminated Intravascular Coagulopathy

    Ankaferd Blood Stopper(C) is a new therapeutic agent which is derived from five different herbal extracts and can stop bleeding within minutes in all type of open hemorrhages. "AnkaferdBlood Stopper(C)" is the first drug Turkish patent. A 12 years old boy was taken to operation with the diagnosis of liver laceration and disseminated intravascular coagulopathy occurred after the surgical procedure. Supportive treatment was given to the patient. "Ankafert Blood Stopper(C)" was used for the superficial bleedings. The hemorrhages stopped immediately at the locations that Ankafert Blood Stopper was used. We report the case to show that "Ankaferd Blood Stopper(C)" can be used for superficial bleeding in patients with disseminated intravascular coagulopathy. (Turk Arch Ped 2010; 45: 64-6)
