The Theoretical Description for Economical and Green Electrochemical Detection and Removal of Heavy Metals by a Conducting Polymer Material, Based on Poisonous Mushrooms C. Orellanus, P. Involutus, and A. Xanthodermus
    (AMG Transcend Association, 2024) Tkach, V.V.; Kushnir, M.V.; de Oliveira, S.C.; Ivanushko, Y.G.; Yagodynets, P.I.; Pochenchuk, G.M.; Kushnir, L.O.
This work is a theoretical evaluation of heavy metal cations' electrochemical determination and removal from wastewater by means of their oxidation in the presence of a conducting polymer based on poisonous mushrooms. As their main toxins are phenolic, their possible electro(co)polymerization and the complex formation of the phenolic toxins in the polymer phase with the heavy metal cations are possible. The mathematical modeling of the system’s behavior confirms its efficiency for the electrochemical determination and removal of heavy metals from natural waters and wastewater. The procedure is foreseen to be realized in an economical and green manner. © 2024 by the authors.

The Theoretical Description for Electrochemical Hydroxyquinol and Phloroglucinol Electrochemical Detection Over Coo(oh)-Modified Electrode
    (AMG Transcend Association, 2024) Tkach, V.V.; Kushnir, M.V.; de Oliveira, S.C.; Sydorchuk, L.P.; Kryvetskyi, V.V.; Kryvetska, I.I.; Melnyk, M.V.
The theoretical description for hydroxyquinol and phloroglucinol electrochemical determination in food and wastewater has been made in this work. The efficiency of the cobalt (III) oxyhydroxide for this determination is verified from either an electroanalytical or electrosynthetical point of view, as it also provides assisted electro(co)polymerization. The stable steady-state is easy to obtain and maintain, confirming the electrode modifier's efficiency and the easy interpretation of curves for direct and indirect determination. This process may also efficiently remove phenolic compounds from the pharmaceutical wastewater. © 2024 by the authors.

The Theoretical Description of Furfural and Lactic Acid Cathodic Determination in Bread and Milk
    (AMG Transcend Association, 2023) Tkach, V.V.; Morozova, T.V.; Prymachenko, S.V.; Korniienko, I.M.; Yastremska, L.S.; Kuznetsova, O.O.; Kushnir, M.V.
The process of the electroanalytical cathodic determination of furfural and lactic acid in fermented bread and milk on vanadium oxyhydroxide-modified cathode has been developed and analyzed theoretically. The correspondent mathematical model analysis confirms this process's efficiency for furfural and lactic acid determination in a mildly acidic and neutral medium by a cathodic determination to propyleneglycol and furfuroic alcohol. Considering that both the compounds and their reduction products are less ionized in acidic media, cathodic reduction tends to be more efficient than anodic electrooxidation. © 2023 by the authors.
