Philip Larkin'in Şiirlerinde 'Yabancılaşma' Teması
Abstract
Larkin'in şiirlerindeki yabancılaşma temasının kaynağının gerçek hayatındaki deneyimleri olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Philip Larkin'in şiirlerinin otobiyografik olduğu söylenebilir.
In this study ?Alienation? in the poetry of Philip Larkin, one of the most important poets of English Literature is examined. It is understood that the source of the theme of alienation in Larkin?s poetries is his real life experiences. One can say that Philip Larkin?s poems are autobiographical. It is considered that his bad childhood memories, unhappy marriage of his mother and father and the poet?s broken relationship with other members of the society causes a sense of alienation in poet?s mind. As a result of his pessimistic views Larkin writes poems as `Reasons for Attendance?, `Dublinesque?, `Strangers?, `The March Past?, `Bridge for the Living?, `Livings?, `Two Guitar Pieces?, `Here?, `Out of Reach?, `Dockery and Son?, `Best Society?, `Single to Belfast?, `The Importance of Elsewhere?, `High Windows?, `Deceptions?, `Dry Point?, `Wants?, `I Remember, I Remember?, `Coming?, `Love Songs in Age? , `Reference Back?, `To The Sea?, `The Building?, `The Old Fools? and `Aubade? in which the theme of alienation can be observed.
