Academic Studies on Ali Bey Hüseyinzade in Post-Independence Azerbaijan
Abstract
İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti'nin ünlü simalarından ve Türkçülük fikrinin mütefekkirlerinden biri olan Hüseyinzade Ali Bey, 1864 yılının 24 Şubat'ında, Bakü yakınlarındaki Salyan kasabasında doğdu. Küçük yaşta annesini kaybetti. Babasının Tiflis'e tayini nedeniyle bu şehirde yaşamaya başladı. İlk tahsilini de burada Tiflis Müslüman Mektebi'nde yaptı. O, Petersburg Üniversitesi'nde iki tesir altında kalmıştı ki bunlar Panislâvizm ve Sosyalizm idi. Ali Bey, Panislâvizm'den, Pantürkizm mefkûresini çıkardığı gibi; Sosyalizmden de Halkçılık ahlakını aldı. Hüseyinzade Ali Bey, Petersburg Üniversitesi'nden mezun olur olmaz, Rusya'yı terk ederek İstanbul'a geldi. Fizik-Matematik mezunu olarak çalışmak istediyse de uygun bir ortam bulamadı ve üniversite mezunu olmasına rağmen, talebe sıfatıyla Askeri Tıbbiye'ye girmek zorunda kaldı. 1895 tarihinde tıbbiyeyi bitirip doktor olan Hüseyinzade Ali Bey, tabip yüzbaşı rütbesi ile İstanbul'da Haydarpaşa Askeri Hastanesi Emrâz-ı Cildiye ve Efrenciye (Deri ve Frengi Hastalıkları) kliniğine mütehassıs muavini (asistan) olarak tayin edildi. Başarılı bir öğrencilikten sonra bu şekilde hayata atıldı.
Hüseyinzade Ali Bey, one of the famous figures of the Committee of Union and Progress and one of the thinkers of the idea of Turkism, was born on February 24, 1864 in the town of Salyan near Baku. He lost his mother at a young age. He started to live in this city due to his father's assignment to Tbilisi. He completed his primary education here at the Tbilisi Muslim School. He was under two influences at Petersburg University, Pan-Slavism and Socialism. As Ali Bey removed the idea of Pan-Turkism from Pan-Slavism; He also took the morality of Populism from socialism. As soon as Hüseyinzade Ali Bey graduated from St. Petersburg University, he left Russia and came to Istanbul. Although he wanted to work as a Physics-Mathematics graduate, he could not find a suitable environment and although he was a university graduate, he had to enter the Military Medical School as a student. Hüseyinzade Ali Bey, who graduated from medical school and became a doctor in 1895, was appointed as a specialist assistant (assistant) to the Haydarpaşa Military Hospital Emrâz-ı Skin and Efrenciye (Skin and Syphilis Diseases) clinic in Istanbul with the rank of captain. This is how he started life after a successful student life.
