Shah Veliyullah Dehlevi's Contributions To Tafsir
Abstract
Şâh Veliyullah Dehlevî, hicri. XII (miladi. VIII) asırda Hindistan'da yaşamış büyük bir İslam mütefekkiridir. Yüksek kabiliyete sâhip olan Dehlevî, çok küçük yaşta gramer ilimlerini Hindistan'da bitirdikten sonra, Hicâz'a gidip Mekke ve Medine'de bulunan âlimlerden istifâde ederek büyük muhakeme gücünü elde etmiştir. Her şeyi hakikat terazisiyle tarttığı için, yerine göre tasavvufçuları, kelâmcıları, tefsircileri vs. tenkît etmekten geri durmamıştır.
Shah Veliyullah Dehlevî is a great Islamic thinker who lived in India in hijri 12th (AD 8th) century. Dehlevî, who had high ability, went to Hedjaz to benefit from scholarships in Mecca and Medinah after learning device sciences in India, and he gained great reasoning power there. Because he discussed everything according to the truths, he did not hesitate to criticize sufists, theologians, and commentators.
