Abstract
Bu çalışma Ahlat ilçesi meralarının otlatmaya başlangıç zamanlarının, botanik kompozisyonunun belirlenmesi ve ot verimlerinin tespiti amacıyla yapılmıştır.Yapılan çalışmada Ahlat ilçesi meralarının otlatmaya başlama zamanı mayısın ilk haftası olarak tespit edilmiştir.Merayı meydana getiren bitkilerin ağırlıklı olarak % 68 oranında diğer familyalar % 32 oranında buğdaygil bitkilerden oluştuğu belirlenmiştir. Yapılan verim çalışmasıyla meranın verimi 121,8 kg/da olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar kelimler: Mera, Erken otlatma, Botanik kompozisyon, Otlatmaya başlama zamanı, Kuru ot verimi
This study was carried out to determine the grazing time, hay yield, and botanical composition of natural pasture in Ahlat region.It was observed that the beginning time of grazing in Ahlat town was the first week of May.It was determinated that 32% of the plants in pasture belonged to the grasses and 68% of them to the other families plant .The studied pasture was suitable mostly for cattle grazing with averaga hay yield of 1218 kg/ha-1Keywords: Pasture, Early grazing, Botanical composition, Hay yield, Graziy time
