Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship / relationship of sports with self-confidence and aggression in adolescent women. A total of 518 (16.15 ± 1,402 years) adolescent women, who include 273 adolescents (16,36±1,387 years) who have regular exercise habits and 245 (16,36±1,387years) adolescents who do not have regular exercise habits, participated in the study. In the data collection process of the research, (such as communication on the internet and via social networks) Google Form was used. The 'Self-Confidence Scale' was used to determine the self-confidence levels of the adolescents who participate in the study, and the 'Aggression Inventory' was used to determine the levels of aggression. In the analysis phase of the data obtained, frequency analysis, One-Way ANOVA analysis, Independent T test analysis and Pearson Correlation analysis were used in SPSS 22.0 program. At the end of the study, it was determined that the level of destructive aggression in adolescents was low, the level of imperishableness and passive aggression was at a medium level, besides, the adolescents' internal self-confidence levels were above the middle level, and their external self-confidence and general self-confidence levels were at medium levels. When it was considered according to demographic variables, it was determined that the aggression levels of the adolescents who participate in the study differ significantly according to the age groups and the variables of the education level of the parents (p<0.05). On the contrary, it was determined that the level of aggression in adolescents does not differ significantly according to the family income variable (p>0.05). When self-confidence levels were examined according to demographic variables, it was determined that the self-confidence levels of adolescents who participate in the study differ significantly according to the variables of age group, sport branch and mother's education level (p<0.05), on the contrary, self-confidence level did not differ significantly according to the variables of father's education level and family income (p>0.05). When the relationship between dependent variables was examined, it was concluded that there were significant relationships between self-confidence sub-dimensions and aggression sub-dimensions in adolescents who participate in the study (p<0.05). As a result, it can be said that participation in sports is determinative on aggression and self-confidence in adolescents.
