Abstract

ÖZETVAN VE YAKIN ÇEVRESİNDEKİ RİZOMLU İRİSLERİN (Iris spp.) PEYZAJMİMARLIĞI BİTKİLENDİRME ÇALIŞMALARINDA KULLANIMOLANAKLARININ BELİRLENMESİAŞUR, FeranYüksek Lisans Tezi, Bahçe Bitkileri Anabilim DalıTez Danışmanı: Yrd. Dr. Şevket ALPEylül 2006, 46 sayfaVan ve yakın çevresinin doğal bitki örtüsünde bulunan 7 farklı rizomlu iristür ve alt türlerinin fenolojik, morfolojik ve ekolojik özelliklerinin saptanması ve buözelliklerden peyzaj mimarlığında yararlanma olanaklarının ortaya konması amacıylabir inceleme yapılmıştır.İncelemeye alınan türler; çiçeklenme tarihi, çiçekli kalma süresi, tohumolgunlaşma süresi gibi fenolojik özellikler ile bitki boyu, dallanma durumu, çiçeközellikleri ve rengi gibi morfolojik karakter yönünden değerlendirilmiştir.Türlerin ekolojik incelemelerinde ise bulundukları doğal ortamdaki 0-20 cmderinlikten alınan toprak örneklerinde bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal analizler yapılmıştır.Ayrıca alındıkları doğal ortamların uzun yıllar meteorolojik verileri incelenmiştir.Periyodik olarak yapılan incelemelerin sonucunda türlerin peyzajplanlamalarında hangi alanlarda kullanılabileceği konusunda bilgiler verilmiştir.Anahtar kelimeler: Ekolojik özellikler, Fenolojik özellikler, Morfolojiközellikler, Rizomlu iris, Peyzaj planlama, Van Bölgesi.

Prof. Dr. Şevket ALPSeptember 2006, 46 pagesA study is conducted to determine the phenological, morphological, andecological characteristics of 7 different species and subspecies of irises with rhizomein Van and its neighborhood and to put forth the opportunities for making use of thosecharacteristics in landscape architecture.The species are evaluated in terms of phenological characteristics such as thedate of blooming, the duration of being in bloom, duration of maturation of theirseeds. In addition, morphological characteristics, such as the length of the plant, thestatus of branching, flower characteristics and color are studied as well.As respect with the ecological study of the species, on the other hand, somephysical and chemical analyses are carried out using the soil sample taken from 20depth of the natural environment of the species. In addition, years lastingmeteorological data of their natural environment are examined.As a result of periodical studies, information is given regarding possibleareas of usage of the species in landscape planing.Key words: Ecological characteristics, Morphological characteristics,Phenological characteristics, Rhizomatous irises, Landscape planning, Van Region.
