Effects of NaCl Application on Plant Growth and Ion Contents of Some Strawberry Cultivars
Abstract
Bu çalısmada bazı çilek çesitlerinin tuza tolerans durumları belirlendi. Tiago ve Rapella çesitlerinin diger çesitlere göre daha toleranslı oldugu gözlendi. Vejatatif gelisme parametreleri göz önüne alınarak yapılan degerlendirmede Delmarnel, Dauglas ve Camarosa çesitlerinin incelenen çesitler arasında en hassas oldugu görülmüstür. Genellikle NaCl' nin sebep oldugu Na birikimi toleranslı çesitlere göre hassas çesitlerde daha fazla olmustur. Ca\Na ve K\Na oranları toleranslı çesitlerde daha fazla bulunmustur. Tüm çesitlerin MDA içerikleri NaCl uygulaması ile artmıstır. Fakat çesitlerin tuza toleransı ile MDA içerikleri arasında net bir iliski belirlenememistir. In this study, the salinity tolerance levels of some strawberry cultivars were determined. It was determined that cv. Tiago and cv. Rapella were found to be more tolerant than the other cultivars. From the evaluations based on the vegetative growth parameters, cv. Delmarnel, cv. Douglas, and cv. Camarosa were found to be the least tolerant ones among the investigated cultivars. The Na accumulation caused by NaCl was generally higher in the intolerant cultivars than the tolerant ones. The rates of Ca:Na and K:Na were higher in the tolerant cultivars than the intolerant ones. The MDA contents of all cultivars increased with the NaCl application. On the other hand, there was no clear correlation between the tolerance levels of the cultivars and their MDA contents.
