Land Suitability Evalution for Settlement in Tuşba (van) Based on Geographical Information Systems (gis)

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, Van ili Tuşba ilçesinin jeolojik verilerinin CBS desteği ile değerlendirilerek yerleşime uygun alanlarının belirlenmesidir. Elde edilmiş olan haritalar ile yerleşim açısından olabilecek en uygun alanların tespit edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu hedefe bağlı olarak; (i) çalışma alanına ait tüm verilerin (litoloji, yükseklik, eğim vb.) CBS aracılığıyla sayısal ortama aktarılması, (ii) Tuşba ilçe sınırlarının içerisinde yer alan bölgenin heyelan risk haritasının oluşturulması, (iii) bu bölgeyi etkileyebilecek aktif fayların haritaya işlenmesi, (iv) bölgeye ait jeomorfolojik verilerin ortaya konması, (v) hesaplamalı yöntemlerle elde edilen verilerin analiz aşamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma alanı doğal afetler bakımından tehlikeli olduğundan öncelikle her bir parametre için ayrı ayrı haritalar oluşturulmuş ve analizi yapılmıştır. Ülkemizde değişik bölgelerde Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) ile yerleşime uygunluğun sorgulanması ile ilgili birçok çalışma yapılmış olup Tuşba bölgesine ait bu konuda detaylı bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Çalışma alanına ait üretilen bakı, eğim, heyelan haritaları ve özellikle oluşturulan Sayısal Yükseklik Modeli (SYM) kullanılarak bölgenin morfolojisi ile birlikte parametrelerin yardımıyla kent planlamasına yönelik yerleşime uygunluk analizi yapılması planlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci (AHS) yöntemi kullanılarak analizlerin yapılmasıyla yerleşime uygunluğun değerlendirilmesi ile yeni alanların oluşturulmasında zaman sorununa çözüm bulunacağı beklenmektedir.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the geological data of TuĢba County in Van with the support of GIS and to determine the suitable areas for settlement. With the obtained maps, it was aimed to determine the most suitable areas in terms of settlement. Depending on this goal; (i) transferring all data (lithology, elevation, slope, etc.) of the study area into digital media by means of GIS, (ii) Creation of landslide risk map of the area within the boundaries of Tusba district, iii) map active faults that may affect this region, iv) revealing the geomorphological data of the region, (v) the analysis steps of the data obtained by computational methods will be performed. Since the study area is dangerous in terms of natural disasters, first of all, individual maps were created and analyzed for each parameter. Many studies have been carried out in order to investigate the suitability of the settlement with the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in different regions of our country and there is no detailed study on this subject in the TuĢba region. The bond will be produced of the study area, slope, landslides and maps will be created especially Digital Elevation Model (DEM) with the help of the morphology of the settlement suitability analysis performed using the parameters for urban planning are planned. In this context, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method is used to analyze the suitability of the settlement with the assessment of the new problem is expected to be found in the creation of new areas.
