Abstract
this study was performed for the determination of the levels of esophageal cancers of 25 patients diagnosed as having cancer in the Yuzuncu Yyl Universty faculty of medicine department of internal medicine (Medical Oncology) and 15 healthy volunteers at same department with negative cancer signs. The activitys of catalase of sick and health groups were 33.80 4.31 EU/gHb, 122.37 031.70 EU/gHb respectyvely. Differance between the ± ±avarege levels of groups were significantly important (p<0,001). CA (carbonic anhydrase) activitys were 2.19±.12 EU/gHb, 2.46±0.32 EU/gHb in groups at same order with not statictical importance (p>0,5). The levels of albumin, globulin, ferritin, ALT, LDH, glucose, CRP, AST ve uric asid asid were determined in sick and healthy groups; 4.04±0.43, 4.04±0.24 gr/dl (p>0.5); 4.46±0.82, 3.17±0.10g/dl (p<0.5); 175.35±29.09, 260.40±015.45g/dI (p<0.05); 12.69±1.13, 19.53±01.91 ng/ml(p<0.01); 317.55±13.77, 298.00±012.14 mg/dl (p>0.5); 106.45±12.14, 89.70±02.18 (p<0.5) , 5.94±1.04, 4.41±0.28 U/L (p<0.05); 19.40±1.68, 19.53±01.91 mg/dl (p<0.01); 30.03±3.24, 10.53±0.64 (p>0.5) respectively. Consequently, in the diagnosis of the illness with cancer, some biochemical parameters and antioxidant examinations may be very important factor to be asked in terms esophageal cancer Key Words: Esophageal cancers, biochemical parameters, carbonic anhydrase, catalase
