Abstract
This research aims to investigate the impact of using electronic books in chemistry education on student achievement, self-efficacy, and attitudes. A comparison was made between students using electronic books and smart boards and those using traditional printed books. Data were collected through surveys and semi-structured interviews. The study was conducted at Halil Çiftçi Anatolian High School in the district of Ceyhan, Adana province, during the academic year 2023-2024, with two classes from each grade (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th). The experimental group using electronic textbooks was taught using materials prepared by the Ministry of National Education. The results indicate that students using electronic textbooks performed better. These findings underscore the importance of effectively using technology-based materials in chemistry education and could be a significant step towards improving future educational practices.
