Studies on the Fauna and Ecology of Papilionoidea and Hesperioidea in Şirnak Province (East Turkey)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Şırnak ilinde bulunan Papilionoidea ve Hesperioidea üstfamilyalarına ait türler, fauna ve ekoloji açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma 2008 ve 2011 yıllarında Nisan ve Ekim ayları arasında yapılmış olup, 7 familya ve 89 türe ait toplam 1120 örnek toplanmıştır. Şırnak faunası için yeni olarak 4 familyaya ait 13 tür tespit edilmiştir. Bu türler familyalarıyla birlikte şöyledir: Muschampia proteides, Muschampia poggei, Eogenes alcides (Hesperiidae), Euchloe ausonia, Pieris persis, Pieris mannii (Pieridae), Hipparchia fatua, Hyponephele lycaonoides (Satyridae), Glaucopsyche lessei, Polyommatus alcestis, Polyommatus demavendi, Polyommatus mithridates, Quercusia quercus (Lycaenidae). Tezde, Şırnak'ın ilçeleri itibariyle tespit edilen türler literatür bilgisiyle mukayeseli olarak verilmiş, türlerin Türkiye'deki dağılım oranları, alandaki bulunuşu ve fenolojisi değerlendirilmiştir. Alanda tespit edilen bazı larva ve ergin besin bitkileri belirtilmiştir. Ek olarak incelenen materyal listesi ve Uluslararası Nomenklatür Kuralları'na uygun biçimde düzenlenmiş bilimsel isimleriyle birlikte alandaki türlerin tam listesi verilmiştir.

In this study, butterfly species of Şırnak Province (East Turkey) are evaluated from faunistical and ecological standpoints. Field studies were realized between 2008 and 2011, and totally 1120 specimens, which belong to 89 species in 7 families, were collected. Among them, 13 species of 4 families were determined as new to Şırnak fauna. These species and their families are as follows: Muschampia proteides, Muschampia poggei, Eogenes alcides (Hesperiidae), Euchloe ausonia, Pieris persis, Pieris mannii (Pieridae), Hipparchia fatua, Hyponephele lycaonoides (Satyridae), Glaucopsyche lessei, Polyommatus alcestis, Polyommatus demavendi, Polyommatus mithridates, Quercusia quercus (Lycaenidae). In the study, determined species are evaluated comparatively with literary data within the districts of Şırnak. Their rates of distributions in Turkey, abundances, types of occurences and adult phenology are given. Besides, food-plants of caterpillars and adults of some species recorded in studied area are mentioned. Studied material, checklist of the recorded species in the provinces in accordance with the rules of ICZN, and illustrations of habitats and adults in nature of some species are also added.
