Abstract
Hemangiomas are the most common benign vascular tumors of infancy. Most of them regress spontaneously thus there is no need for treatment and follow up is good enough. However hemangiomas which are large, ulcerated and compress vital tissue must be treated. Treatment of hemangiomas include medical and surgical procedures, and recently successful outcomes of propranolol treatment were reported. In this article 11-months-old female patient with ulcerated and progressively growing hemangioma is presented. Due to progresif growth and infection of the lesion oral propranolol treatment was started. This patient presented due to successful treatment with propranolol and as known propranolol treatment is a new treatment modality in hemangiomas. Copyright © 2012 by Türkiye Klinikleri.
