9. Sınıf Biyoloji Dersi Güncel Çevre Sorunları ve İnsan Ünitesinin Gezi – Gözlem Yöntemi ile Öğretilmesinin Akademik Başarıya Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, lise dokuzuncu sınıf biyoloji dersi 'Güncel Çevre Sorunları ve İnsan' adlı ünitenin Gezi-Gözlem yöntemi ile öğretilmesinin akademik başarıya etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırma yarı deneysel model ile öntest - sontest ve kontrol gruplu desene uygun yapılmıştır. Çalışma, 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yıllında, dört haftalık programa göre gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırma Van Merkez Tuşba İlçesi'ne bağlı Ahmed-i Hani Anadolu Lisesi dokuzuncu sınıf öğrencileri ile yapılmıştır. Deney grubunda 26 öğrenci ve kontrol grubunda 32 öğrenci olmak üzere çalışma grubunda toplam 58 öğrenci yer almıştır. Deney grubunda bulunan öğrencilerle dersler doğada gezi-gözlem yöntemi ile işlenirken, kontrol grubunda bulunan öğrencilerle dersler sınıf ortamında sunum (geleneksel) yönteme ile işlenmiştir. Veri elde etme aracı olarak; Biyoloji Akademik Başarı Testi kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizleri SPSS paket programında t-testi ve ANOVA ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda iki grup arasında istatistiksel olarak önemli bir fark olduğu görülmüştür (p<0,05). Lise dokuzuncu sınıf biyoloji dersinde okutulan 'Güncel Çevre Sorunları ve İnsan' adlı ünitenin öğretilmesinde gezi-gözlem yönteminin sunum (geleneksel) yöntemden daha etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to compare the effect of Presentation (traditional) and Trip -Observation on learning in teaching unit 'Contemporary Environmental Problems and Human' which is taught in high school ninth grade Biology course. The research was carried out in accordance with the pretest - posttest and control group design with quasi-experimental model. The study was conducted according to the four – week program in the 2013 – 2014 acamedic year. The study was conducted with ninth grade students of Ahmed –i Hani Anatolian High School in Van. There were 26 students in the experimental group and 32 students in the control group. While the lessons with the students in the experimental group were conducted with the observation-observation method in nature, the lessons with the students in the control group were taught with the presentation (traditional) method in the classroom environment. As a data acquisition tool; Biology Academic Achievement Test was used. Quantitative data were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA in SPSS package program. At the end of the study a statistically significant difference has been seen between the two groups (p<0,05). It was concluded that the observation-observation method was more effective than the presentation (traditional) method in teaching the unit called 'Current Environmental Problems and Human' in the ninth grade biology course .
