Content in Selçuk Altun's Novels

Abstract

2001 yılından bugüne yedi romanı, üç deneme kitabı yayımlanan ve yazmaya devam eden Selçuk Altun, salt sanat anlayışıyla, kendine özgü bir üslupla ve postmodern bir anlayışla Türk edebiyatında yer edinmiş bir yazardır. Bu tezde; romanlarını bireysel konular temeline dayandırılmakla birlikte, sosyal konuları da irdeleyen yazarın romanlarında yer alan ve sorunsallaştırılan meseleler açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma giriş, yazarın hayatı ve edebi kişiliği, içerik ve sonuç kısmından oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde yazarın edebi anlayışı ve sanat görüşü verilmeye çalışılmış, bunun yanında yazarın kullandığı roman tekniklerine de kısaca yer verilmiştir. Romancılık anlayışının ele alındığı bu bölümde yazarın metinlerinde kullandığı çeşitli unsurlar da ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise; romanlarda sorunsallaştırılan konuların içeriği ele alınmış, değişik kaynaklar taranarak bu meseleler hakkında bilgi toplanılmış ve elde edilen bulgular ve yazarın verileri ışığında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Sonuç kısmında ise yazarın romanları genel bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Kaynakça kısmında ise tezin hazırlanma sürecinde faydalanılan eserlerin künyeleri verilmiştir.Selçuk Altun, whose 7 novels and 3 essay books have been published since 2001, and who has still been writing is an author who is rooted in Turkish literature with a pure sense of art, his own mannerism, and a postmodern insight. In this dissertation, we have endeavoured to clarify the issues which are posed as problems and take part in the novels of the author who addresses social subjects together with predicating his novels on individual subjects. This work consists of prologue - the life and the literary personality of the author, content, and conclusion. In the first chapter, we have tried to give an insight into the author's literary mind and outlook on literature. Besides this, the novelistic methods which the author utilizes have briefly been touched on. In this chapter where his grasp of novel writing is dealt with, the various components the author utilizes in his texts are also discussed. In the second chapter, the content of the subjects which are problematized in novels is discussed. By scanning different sources, information concerning these matters is gathered, and evaluations are carried out in the light of the findings and the author's data. In the conclusion, the author's novels are assessed in general. In the bibliography, the records of the works which have been utilized in the preparation process of the dissertation are presented.
