Examination of Some Physical Pecularities of Sportsmen With Path Analaysis

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 2007 yılında Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Bölümü Özel Yetenek Sınavına giren öğrencilerin bazı fiziksel özelliklerinden; boy, yaş, ağırlık, sınav öncesi mekik sayısı, sınava hazırlanma süresi ve sınava kaçıncı kez girdiği gibi bağımsız değişkenlerin sınav mekik sayısı üzerine yapmış oldukları doğrudan ve dolaylı etkileri incelenmiştir. Erkek öğrencilerde, sınav öncesi mekik sayısı, sınava hazırlık süresi ve sınava kaçıncı kez girdiği bağımsız değişkenleri ile sınav sonrası mekik sayısı arasındaki ilişki istatistiksel etkisi ise önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.01). Kız öğrencilerde ise sınav öncesi mekik sayısı ve sınava kaçıncı kez girdiği bağımsız değişkenleri ile sınav sonrası mekik sayısı arasındaki ilişki önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.01). Yapılan Path analizi sonucunda, her bir bağımsız değişkenin bağımlı değişkenle olan korelasyonun açıklanmasında, dolaylı etkilerin etki paylarının, doğrudan etkilerin etki paylarından daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.Anahtar kelimeler: Doğrudan etki, Dolaylı etki, Path katsayıları, Korelasyon analizi, Spor

In this study, same of the physical pecularities of students taking the exam of Yüzüncü Yıl University Physical Education and Sports Department Special Pecularity in 2007 are examined with such variables height, age, weight, the number of shuttle based on before the exam, the time of preparation to exam and the number of taking the exam. Besides the direct or indirect effects of such variables on the number of shuttle in the exam are examined. As for male students taking the exam, the effects of the number of shuttle before the exam, time of preparation to exam and the number of taking the exam are statistically found significant on the male students number of shuttle after the exam (p<0.01). Regarding with female students taking the exam, the effects of number of shuttle before the exam and the number of taking the exam are statistically found significant on the number of shuttle after the exam (p<0.01). As a result of the Path Analysis the explanation of the regression of each independent variable with each of dependent variable, it is determined that the share of indirect effects are higher than that of direct effects.Key Words: Direct effect, Indirect effect, Path analysis, Regression analysis, Sports
