Examining the Poems of Mehmet Akif Ersoy in View of Educating the Values

Abstract

Bu çalıĢmanın temel amacı, Mehmet Akif Ersoy „un Ģiirlerinde geçen değerler ile ilköğretim II. kademe Sosyal Bilgiler 6. sınıf ders kitabında geçen değerleri karĢılaĢtırmak ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle sonuca ulaĢmaya çalıĢmaktır. Akif‟in Ģiirlerinde geçen değerlere yüklediği anlamları irdelemek, tanımlamak, yorumlamak, günümüz eğitim programlarına ve özelde eğitim programlarının muhatabı olan bireye bu değerler vasıtasıyla katkı sunmaya çalıĢmaktır. AraĢtırma tarama modelindedir. Ġçerik analizi yöntemiyle Ģiirlerde geçen değerler tanımlanmıĢ, Ģiirlerden bu değerlerle ilgili örnekler alınarak yorumlanmıĢ ve değerler eğitimi açısından incelenmiĢtir. Mehmet Akif Ersoy‟un Ģiirlerinde iĢlediği değerlerin ilköğretim II. kademede okutulan Sosyal Bilgiler ders ki tabında geçen değerlerle hangi sıklıkta tekrar edildiği ve birbirleriyle ne derece örtüĢtüğü tespit edilmiĢtir. Safahatta geçen değerlerle Sosyal Bilgiler 6. sınıf ders kitabında geçen değerler kıyaslanarak incelenmiĢtir. Akif‟in eserlerinde sıklıkla gündeme getirdiği değerlerin yeni nesiller tarafından anlaĢılmasına katkı sağlayacağı düĢünülmektedir Anahtar Sözcükler: Sosyal Bilgiler, Değerler, Safahat, Mehmet Akif

The main aim of this study is to compare the values mentioned in the poems of Mehmet Akif ERSOY with the values mentioned in the Social Sciences 6th Grade course book of 2nd Grade Primary Education and to try to reach the result with the way of contents analysis. And to examine, describe and comment the meanings that Akif attributed to the values mentioned in his poems and to try to contribute by means of these values to the today‟s education programs and especially to the individual who is collucutor of the education programs. Our research is in the model of scan. The values mentioned in the poems with the way of contents analysis have been described, the examples about these values ta ken from the poems have been commented and examined in view of educating the values. The values in these poems have been determined how to overlap with the thickness of the values mentioned in the Social Sciences course book instructed at the 2 nd Grade of Primary Education and with the thickness of the values mentioned in Safahat and with each other. The values mentioned in Safahat have been examined by comparing with the values mentioned in the 6 th Grade Social Sciences course book. It has been thought that the values, Akif often brought before in his works, will contribute to get by the new generations. Key Words: Social Sciences, Values, Safahat, Mehmet Akif
