Synthesis of 6-Methyluracil Derivatives With a New Methodology
Abstract
Urasil türevleri, 6-propiltiyourasil ve 5-florourasil gibi birçok hastalığın tedavisinde kullanılan önemli farmasötik moleküller arasındadır. Bu bileşiklerin biyoaktif moleküller arasında olmasından dolayı bu bileşikler medisinal kimya alanda çalışma yapan araştırmacıların ilgisini çekmektedir. Bu çalışmada 6-metiltiyourasil türevlerinden olan 1-benzilidenamino-6-amino-6-metil-1H-pirimidin-2,4-dion bileşikleri için yeni bir sentez yöntemi geliştirilmiştir. Optimizasyınu yapılan bu yönteme göre 2,2,6-trimetil-4H-1,3-dioksin-4-on, Yb(TFA)3 varlığında sentezi yapılan benzaldehit semikarbazon bileşikleri ile reaksiyona sokularak çeşitli 6-metiltiyourasil ve 6-metilurasil türevleri elde edildi. Sentezlenen 6-metilurasil türevlerinin yapıları karakterize edildi 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, LC-MS ve IR ile yapıları karakterize edildi.
Uracil derivatives, such as 6-propylthiouracil and 5-fluorouracil, are among the important pharmaceutical molecules used in the treatment of many diseases. Since these compounds are among the bioactive molecules, these compounds attract the attention of researchers working in the field of medicinal chemistry. In this study, a new synthesis method was developed for 1-benzylideneamino-6-amino-6-methyl-1H-pyrimidin-2,4-dione compounds which are 6-methylthiouracil derivatives. According to this optimised method, 2,2,6-trimethyl-4H-1,3-dioxin-4-one was reacted with benzaldehyde semicarbazone compounds synthesised in the presence of Yb(TFA)3 to obtain various 6-methylthiouracil and 6-methyluracil derivatives. The structures of the synthesised 6-methyluracil derivatives were characterised by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, LC-MS and IR.
