Research of Problems Caused by Teachers at Physics Education (Case of Van)

Abstract

A.B.D.Tez Danışmanı : Prof. Dr. Salim ORAKEylül 2005, 120 SayfaBu çalışmada fizik eğitimindeki öğretmen kaynaklı problemleraraştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmaya Van il merkezindeki özel ve devlet okullarında görevyapan 31 fizik öğretmeni ve bu okullarda öğrenim gören 195 öğrenci katılmıştır.Araştırmada bilgi toplama aracı olarak öğretmen ve öğrenci anket formlarıdüzenlenerek, öğretmenlerin fizik eğitim ve öğretimi için öğretmen yeterlilikleriniyerine getirme düzeyleri araştırılmıştır. Anket sonuçlarının güvenilirliğini arttırmakve öğretmenlerin fizik öğretiminde karşılaştıkları sıkıntıları tespit etmek amacıylaankete katılan öğretmenlerle mülakatlar yapılmıştır.Öğretmenlerin yeterlilik düzeylerini ölçmek amacıyla oluşturulan anketler 7bölümden (ders öncesi hazırlık ve öğretime hazırlık, öğretim, öğretim yöntemleri,öğretim faaliyetleri, değerlendirme, alan bilgisi, istenilir kişilik özellikleri) ve 48sorudan oluşmuştur.Beşli Likert tipinde ölçeklendirilen anket maddeleri sorulara verilencevapların değerlendirilmesinde, hiçbir zaman =1, nadiren=2, bazen =3, çoğuzaman=4 ve her zaman=5 şeklinde derecelendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın genel amacıçerçevesinde cevapları aranan problemlere yönelik anket formları ile toplananverilerin betimsel istatistikler olan; (f) frekans, (%) yüzde ve ( X ) aritmetikortalama yöntemleri ile yorumlanmıştır.Bu araştırma beş bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde, araştırmanınproblemi, amacı, önemi, varsayımları, sınırlılıklarına yer verilmiş; ikinci bölümde,literatür taraması yapılarak araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesi oluşturulmuş; üçüncübölümde, araştırma sürecinin açıklandığı yöntem ve teknikler anlatılmış; dördüncübölümde yapılan anket ve mülakatlar sonucu elde edilen verilerin düzenlenmesisonucu ulaşılan bulgulara yer verilmiş; beşinci bölümde ise sonuç ve önerilerkısmına yer verilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Fizik eğitimi, Fizik öğretimi, Fizik öğretmenleri, Öğretmenkaynaklı problemler.i

Thesis, Inst. of Science and Technology (Department of Physic Education)Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Salim ORAKSeptember 2005, 120 PagesIn this research, problems caused by teachers at physic education werestudied. 31 teachers and 195 students in the private and public high school at Vanprovince participated in the research.In this research the surveys of the students and the teachers have beengathered to obtain some information and the implementations of sufficiency of theteachers in physics education and teaching have been researched. The teachers havebeen interviewed to increase the reliability of the survey?s result and to determinethe problems that the teachers confront in physics education.The surveys composed to measure the level of the teachers adequacyconsist of 7 parts (prepare for lesson and education, methodology, educationalactivities, evaluation, special knowledge, required personal features) and 48questions.Classifying to evaluate the answers in a five-scaled Likert type is from?never (1) to always (5)?. General aim of research?s direction, whole data wereinterpreted with description statistic; frequency (f), percent (%), mean ( X ).This research consists of five chapters. In the first chapter the problem andimportance, aims, hypothesis and the limitations of the research were stated. In thesecond chapter, the literature study and the conceptual frame of the study has beendone; in the third chapter the methodology of the research were explained; in thefourth chapter finding of questionnaire and interview and statistical analysis weregiven; in the last chapter consist of results and related suggestions were mentioned.Key words: Physic education, Teaching physic, Physic teachers, Problems causedby teacheriii
