Abstract
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, okul öncesi dönem çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin kendi ebeveynlik tutumlarına ilişkin değerlendirmelerinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç kapsamında öncelikle, ebeveynlerin sahip oldukları tutumların ebeveyn tutum ölçeğiyle belirlenmesi ve ardından ebeveynlerin kendi ebeveynlik tutumlarını nasıl değerlendirdiklerinin görüşme yoluyla ortaya koyulması hedeflenmiştir. Ayrıca ebeveynlerin ebeveynlik tutumları demografik değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Açıklayıcı karma araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Kars İli Sarıkamış İlçesinde yaşayan ve okul öncesi dönem çocuğu olan 429 ebeveyn oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak 'Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeği', 'Ebeveyn Görüşme Formu' ve 'Demografik Bilgi Formu' kullanılmıştır. Toplanan nicel veriler SPSS-26 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Nitel veriler için ise içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeğinden elde edilen verilere göre, çalışmaya katılan ebeveynlerin hiçbiri demokratik ebeveynlik tutumunu benimsemezken büyük çoğunluğu, otoriter tutuma sahiptir. Bunu sırasıyla, izin verici ve aşırı koruyucu ebeveynlik tutumları izlemiştir. Ebeveynlerin kendi değerlendirmelerine göre ise, çoğu ebeveyn demokratik bir tutuma sahipken, bunu sırasıyla izin verici, aşırı koruyucu ve otoriter ebeveynlik tutumlarının takip ettiği belirlenmiştir. Bu durumda ebeveynlerin, Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeğine göre belirlenen ebeveynlik tutumlarıyla kendi değerlendirmelerine göre ortaya çıkan tutumları arasında farklılıklar olduğu görüşmüştür. Ebeveynlerin ebeveynlik tutumları, çocuğa yakınlık durumlarına, çocuğun cinsiyetine ve yaşına, annenin ve babanın yaşına, çocuk sayısına, anne ve baba eğitim durumuna göre Ebeveyn Tutum Ölçeğinin bazı alt boyutlarında anlamlı farklılık göstermiştir
The main purpose of this research is to examine the evaluations of parents of preschool children regarding their parenting attitudes. Within the scope of this purpose, it was aimed to first determine the attitudes of parents with the Parenting Attitude Scale and then to reveal how parents evaluate their own parenting attitudes through interviews. Also, parents' parenting attitudes were examined in terms of demographic variables. The participants of this research, in which explanatory mixed-methods design was used, consisted of 429 parents of preschool children living in Sarıkamış District of Kars Province. 'Parenting Attitude Scale', 'Parental Interview Form' and 'Demographic Information Form' were used as data collection tools. The quantitative data were analyzed using the SPSS-26 package program. For qualitative data, content analysis was performed. According to the data obtained from the Parental Attitude Scale, none of the parents participating in the study adopted a democratic parenting attitude, while the majority of them had an authoritarian attitude. This was followed by permissive and overprotective parenting attitudes, respectively. According to the parents' own evaluations, it was determined that while most parents had a democratic attitude, this was followed by permissive, overprotective and authoritarian parenting attitudes, respectively. In this case, it was observed that there were differences between the parenting attitudes of the parents determined according to the Parental Attitude Scale and the attitudes revealed according to their own evaluations. Parenting attitudes of parents showed significant differences in some sub-dimensions of the Parental Attitude Scale based on their closeness to the child, gender and age of the child, age of the mother and father, number of children, and education level of the mother and father.
