The World of Subjects in Nurullah Genç's Poems

Abstract

Cumhuriyet sonrası Türk şiirinde din, gelenek ve milli değerlere bağlı şairler arasında önemli bir yer edinen Nurullah Genç, İslami hassasiyetiyle öne çıkan bir isimdir. Edebiyatımıza kazandırdığı eserlerden hareketle, şiir dünyamızın tarihsel sürecinde şiirlerinde Türk İslam dünyasının izlerine rastlandığı görülmektedir. Şiirlerinde medeniyet algısı, bireyin iç dünyası, kişinin kendisiyle yüzleşmesi ve iç âlemin dışa yansıması gibi temaları ele alan şair, edebi mirasın önemli unsurlarından biri olan mazmunları da yoğun biçimde kullanmıştır. Eserlerinde klasik Türk şiir geleneğinin izlerini taşıyan mazmunlara yer vermekle birlikte, bu geleneği modern şiir anlayışıyla sentezleyerek yeni anlam katmanları oluşturmuştur. Nurullah Genç, şiirlerinde geleneksel mazmunları modern bir dil anlayışı ile yeniden yorumlayarak eski anlam zenginliklerinden kopmadan ifade etmiştir. Çalışmada, mazmunların büyülü dünyasından hareketle ortaya koyulan anlamsal zenginliklerin Nurullah Genç'in şiirlerinde yansımaları tespit edilerek klasik anlamlarından hareketle çağdaş bir yorum getirilmesi amaçlandı. Bu çalışmada, Nurullah Genç'in şiirlerinde klasik Türk edebiyatı içerisinde kullanılan edebi geleneğin mirası mazmunlar bulunarak kategorize edildi. Klasik Türk şiirinde eserleri ile önem arz eden şairlerin şiirlerinden örneklerle Nurullah Genç'in şiirlerinde kullanılan mazmunların karşıladıkları anlamları dönemsel değişimler ışığında, çağdaş bir bakış ortaya konuldu.

Nurullah Genç, who has gained an important place among the poets committed to religion, tradition and national values in post-Republican Turkish poetry, is a name that stands out with his Islamic sensitivity. Based on the works he has brought to our literature, it is seen that traces of the Turkish Islamic world are found in his poems in the historical process of our poetry world. The poet, who deals with themes such as the perception of civilization, the inner world of the individual, the confrontation with oneself and the reflection of the inner world to the outside in his poems, has also used mazmuns, one of the important elements of literary heritage, extensively. Although his works include mazmuns that bear the traces of classical Turkish poetry tradition, he synthesized this tradition with modern poetry and created new layers of meaning. Nurullah Genç reinterpreted traditional mazmuns in his poems with a modern language understanding and expressed them without breaking away from the richness of the old meaning. In the study, it was aimed to determine the reflections of the semantic richness of the magical world of metaphors in Nurullah Genç's poems and to bring a contemporary interpretation based on their classical meanings. In this study, the legacy of the literary tradition used in classical Turkish literature in Nurullah Genç's poems was found and categorized. With examples from the poems of poets who are important with their works in classical Turkish poetry, the meanings of the mazmuns used in Nurullah Genç's poems were put forward with a contemporary perspective in the light of periodical changes.
